What people are saying

Lester Cruz is a top notch trainer.  I worked with him for quite a while in the gym and then transitioned into working out with him from my home.  What I loved about the gym workouts was that there was nothing ever monotonous or repetitive during my sessions with him.  What I was most worried about when moving to my home was that things would fall into a routine and not be challenging enough for me.  This concern was all for naught.  He has extensive knowledge of personal training and, while being a very personable person, our workout sessions at home were focused, personally tailored to what I needed and, most importantly, always different and pushing me to improve my fitness level. – B. J.

Lester has been training me in my home for the past 2 1/2 years. It’s been great having his enthusiasm show up each week. I have a bench and three sets of dumbbells and feel that I get a great workout in a short amount of time. It’s always different and he has me do targeted stretches to work through the inevitable strains and sprains from my athletics, that might otherwise limit my willingness to work out. I look forward to my workouts with Lester and am happy to recommend him. – Geof G.

Lester is much of the reason I still love working out. I’ve been training with him for over 3 years, first at the gym and now in my home. His professional, friendly attitude and passion to push you to improve your fitness level is way above any trainer I’ve worked with before. He tracks every rep you do and varies the workout with a real purpose to create both strength and balance in your body. As a long time race car driver, I brought some old injuries to the gym. Other trainers would simply aggravate those injuries, so I got very little out of the workouts. Since working with Lester, most of those pains have vanished and now I workout basically pain free. I’m over 65 and in better shape then when I was 40.  Thanks Lester……you’re an awesome trainer! – Jim M.

One of the most private aspects of someone’s life is their health.  Things like weigh loss, sleeping habits, eating habits — they’re all things that we entrust to only those closest to us.  I dare say some of us aren’t even honest about those things with our own doctor.  This is where trainers are so much more than people who hand you a jump rope and count.  A good trainer is someone you trust.  A good trainer walks the fine line between being judgmental, and giving you a blunt wakeup call.  They never make you feel bad about yourself when you can’t touch your toes, but you feel like a million bucks when you finally do.  They never complain about the last minute cancelation, but show concern about why you’ve canceled twice in two weeks.  Good trainers know that your work, family, and life have a big impact on your goals an results.  They inquire about what’s happening in your life, but never get too close.  A coach.  Your own, personal coach.  My trainer is Lester Cruz, and I trust him more than most people in my life.  Over my time with him, I’ve become stronger, balanced, and focused — overall.  He’s constantly thinking big picture, and that makes sessions worth every penny. I consider myself very lucky to have Lester as such an important piece of my life’s puzzle, and I’m healthier because of him. – JDC

I am an athlete. However, after I gave birth to my daughter seven years ago, my body went through some changes preventing me from working out the way I wanted to. With initial support from Bryce Tuner and Laura Adams, through Pilates and the BeachFit Moms Fusion Class, I was able to rebuild my muscles and relearn proper body mechanics following the birth of my children so that I could continue to be active, despite these changes in my body. Over the past year, I have been fortunate enough to be under the weekly care of Lester Cruz. Lester is by far one of the best trainers I have ever worked with. His vast knowledge base and experience make me feel safe as I push myself towards my fitness goals without fear of hurting myself or going beyond my physical limitations. Lester is a great coach, full of encouragement, and his humor and great taste in music are bonuses in making my in-home sessions fun! I feel very grateful for Lester as he coaches me to be the athlete that I am. Thank you to the entire Beach Fitness Team for your support and encouragement. It is an honor to be part of the Beach Fitness Family. – Michelle C.
