Barbara attended CSULB in Kinesiology & Exercise Science. In 2001 she completed massage therapy school excelling in myofascial release and deep muscle tissue work. She then continued her education by completing her Masters Degree in Sport Management from USF in 2006. She has been a personal trainer for 13 years, she has competed coursework in Stott Pilates and received her RKC certification in 2010, she is also a CrossFit Level 1 Certified Coach. Barb currently focuses on the Nourish Wellness program and is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner & a Holistic Health Coach. As Co-Owner of Beach Fitness she continues to personal train and motivate her clients and staff to live happier and healthier lives.

 

Seth Eaker
Owner

Seth is the operational and business development director for the entire Beach Fitness family of brands. Seth’s operational responsibilities include human resources, public relations, finance and strategy. He received his MBA from Drexel University and undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Philosophy from the University of the South, all while continuing with his life-long passion for weightlifting and bodybuilding. As a certified sous chef, Seth works with the entire team on nutrition, supplementation and for preparation. Seth also works on BeachFit Life, our life coaching and decision making process.

Bryce Turner
Owner

Bryce is a perpetual student of life and fitness. He earned his B.A. from UC Santa Cruz in Physical Anthropology with a concentration in Physical Therapy and Exercise Science. His ambition of attending physical therapy school was replaced by personal training in 2004 where I fell in love with the dynamic environment of training clients. In 2006, Bryce opened Beach Fitness with Barbara Bartee. In 2010, he received Seal Beach Businessman of the Year and in 2011 we received Business of the Year for the 36th district of Orange County. He is a certified Exercise Coach, Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Golf Biomechanics Specialist and a Fitness Practitioner from the CHEK Institute. Recently, he has found passion in SomaTraining & SomaTherapy and have studied under Dr. Guy Voyer DO since 2012. He also holds a CrossFit Level 1 certification, USA Weightlifting Performance Coach, and have completed DNS Sport 1 & 2 certifications to incorporate a higher level of fitness at Beach Fitness. He specializes in functional therapy in regards to total body joint and spinal mobility, stability, and alignment. His breadth of knowledge and experience has allowed him to create the Beach Balance program.

Marc Sy-Santos
CrossFit/Strength & Conditioning Director - Seal Beach

Marc earned his Bachelor of Science in Fitness from California State University, Long Beach. During his time at CSULB, he diligently worked his way through the ranks as an intern at Beach Fitness to his current position as Director of Group Fitness and Head Strength Coach. Marc is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist by NSCA, Certified Personal Trainer by NSCA, USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach, and CrossFit Level 1 Coach. He continues to attend seminars to study and experience the methods of Chinese weightlifting. As a former basketball and lacrosse player, he developed a passion for athletic development, which expanded into strength & conditioning, Olympic weightlifting, and nutrition. Marc has fused these concepts and experiences into the development of his private, customized strength program at Beach Fitness.

Annika Turner
BeachFit Mom's Program Director

Founder, BeachFit Moms Program Director, Head Instructor & CPT, Mother of 2 Annika was born and raised in Sweden and moved to California in 2007 when she met the man of her dreams, Bryce, owner of Beach Fitness & CrossFit Seal Beach, CA. Annika started her career at Beach Fitness in 2008. As a GroupFit Instructor and Personal Trainer she always make sure her clients are performing to their max – while enjoying it! Since becoming a mom in 2010 she has dedicated herself to become the most healthy mom she can be and also knowing how to maintain an effective balance physically and mentally, for herself and for her whole family. After extensive research of women in the pre- and postnatal stage, Annika created BeachFit Moms. Annika is devoted to train and coach women into their full potential. When Annika is not teaching or coaching BeachFit Moms, she enjoys traveling, reading, cooking and spending time with her two children, William (3) and Jade (1), and her husband Bryce.

Jessie Franzetti
Instructor/Trainer

Jessie grew up on the slopes of Taos Mountain where she became a state champion and Junior Olympic skier. From a very young age her parents instilled in her a love of nutritious and delicious food. Jessie graduated from Pitzer College in 2001 where she was a 4-year Varsity athlete. Upon graduation she earned an Avery China Adventure Fellowship to study volleyball culture in China. Ms. Franzetti taught U.S. History and Psychology at The Webb Schools and Sage Hill School while coaching Varsity volleyball. She has completed four marathons, two triathlons, and believes BeachFitMoms is “hands-down the most challenging and simultaneously fun workout program” she’s ever done. Jessie and her husband Nick have two children, Isabella (4) and Jack (1).

Amanda Monette
Staff

Amanda is currently working on Master’s degree in Sport Management from CSU Long Beach. Before receiving her BS in Kinesiology, Amanda earned her Personal Training Certification and Exercise is Medicine Credential from the American College of Sports Medicine. When she is not at Beach Fitness, Amanda can be found training for a marathon, biking through muddy puddles, playing with Legos and debating the pros and cons of becoming a crazy old cat lady.

Anthony Trang
Coach/Trainer

Anthony brings years of experience and higher education to Beach Fitness. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal Poly Pomona and holds numerous certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) including his CPT, CES and PES. Anthony, with his CrossFit level 1 and CrossFit mobility certifications, has been coaching athletes since 2012. When he’s not helping his clients, Anthony enjoys learning, photography, music, the great outdoors, and spending time with his family. “I want to help people regain control of their health and fitness and get them to their goals in the safest way possible while having fun.”

Lestor Cruz
Coach/Trainer

With a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach and holding certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in Personal Training and the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Lester brings almost a decade’s worth of personal training experience to Beach Fitness.

Alex Cox
Coach/Trainer

Born and raised in Long Beach, Alex has his degree in Kinesiology from CSULB. His athletic experience includes competitive soccer, basketball, and many other recreational outdoor sports. He is a CrossFit Level 1 coach, NSCA certified personal trainer, Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard, ELDOA 1, and has completed the Guy Voyer Gravity Line & Squat Course. When he’s not at Beach Fitness, Alex enjoys almost all outdoor activities… (Don’t get him started on fishing.)

Laura Adams
Instructor/Trainer

BeachFit Moms Instructor & Assisting Program Director, Certified Pilates Instructor specialized in Pre/Postnatal, Certified Yoga Instructor, Certified Ballet Barre Instructor, Dancer, Mother of 1 Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Laura found her way to Southern California as she followed her heart to UC Irvine to study dance. There she found Pilates as a means to help maintain the physical demands as a dancer. After certifying at Studio Du Corps in Orange County, Laura realized that not only did she have a passion for Pilates, but she also had a need to communicate her knowledge in hopes of helping other people. She is continually studying and learning more about the body. When she is not teaching she finds herself doing yoga, dancing, hiking, running, traveling and spending time with her son Brayden (1 1/2) and her husband Eric.

Marlon Daniel
Trainer

Marlon earned his BS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from CSULB. Marlon is certified as a Athletic Trainer (ATC) and works part time with local high schools and club sports programs over seeing injury prevention and rehab development. Marlon also specializes in corrective and functional training, core stability, and rehab program development at Beach Fitness.
