I’ve recently gotten into making smoothies and juices for myself and I love it! They are fun to play around with different combinations of fruits and veggies and they are super yummy and good for you!
Smoothies are a perfect breakfast for a busy morning. Not only that, they give you plenty of protein and fiber to give you energy all morning. Plus, they are delicious and refreshing on a warm summer morning!!
So, here a few of my favorite smoothies that I would love for you to try. AND they are kid-friendly! So have your kids try them too 🙂
1. Oatmeal Smoothie
- ¼ cup old-fashioned oats(uncooked)
- ½ medium banana
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- ¾ cup frozen mango
- ¾ cup frozen strawberries or ½ cup frozen blueberries
- ¾ cup milk of choice(dairy, almond, etc.)
2. Green Smoothie
- 2–3 cups spinach (packed)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 banana
- 1 Granny Smith apple (cored and cubed)
- 1 cup chopped cucumber
- 4 dates
- 1 tablespoon flax seeds
- Squeeze of lemon
- Large handful of ice
OPTIONAL TOPPINGS
- Shaved coconut (unsweetened)
- Chia seeds
- Hemp seeds
3. Chocolate Protein Smoothie
- ¾ cup Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup plus 2 tbsp. milk(almond, dairy, etc.)
- 1 medium banana(sliced and frozen)
- ½ tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons almond butter
- 2 teaspoon ground flaxseed(optional)
- ¾ cup ice cubes
All you have to do is throw the ingredients in a blender and blend it up!! Easy Peasy!
